BIOGRAPHY
Veronika Hudobivnik (born Celarc) is a Slovenian organ and harpsichord player currently working in Munich, Germany.
She took her first piano lessons at the age of 9 at the Music School Vič-Rudnik in Ljubljana. After 7 years of piano lessons she enrolled for organ lessons by organ teacher Tomaž Sevšek Šarmel at the same music school, where she later successfully finished both piano (10 years) and organ (4 years) lessons. She continued playing organ at the Conservatory of Music and ballet Ljubljana for a year, working with Nina Frank.
In 2011, Veronika started with her organ studies at the State University of Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart, Germany with Professor Bernhard Haas and Professor Helmut Deutsch. Parallel with her organ studies she also started harpsichord studies in 2014 at the same university in Stuttgart with Professor Jörg Halubek. After her finished studies in Stuttgart, she continued her Master’s studies in organ at The University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, which she successfully finished in 2017 with Professor Bernhard Haas. Veronika is currently studying at The University of Music in Nuremberg where she is finishing her harpsichord studies with Professor Wiebke Weidanz.
Her biggest interest lies in early music, however, her repertoire covers epochs from the early 14. century music to contemporary music. Her repertoire also consists of collaborations with some of internationally most known organists and harpsichord players such as Martin Schmeding (Germany), Monica Melcová (Spain, France), Henri Houbart (France), Luigi Fernando Tagliavini (Italy), Pavao Mašić (Croatia), Margareta Hürholz (Germany), Jean Guillou (France), Andrés Cea Galán (Spain) and Daniel Roth (France).
Her performances were up until now held in Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and Hungary. She is performing as a soloist as well as a chamber musician with different ensembles and orchestras (e.g. Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra). As a continuo player she has played several baroque operas, for example the opera Rodrigo by G. F. Händel (State University of Music Stuttgart) and Los Elementos by A. Literes (cooperation of the festival “Kassler Musiktage” and the State Opera House Kassel) and is a co-founder of the “Ensemble Cordate”, an ensamble specializing in performing early music . She attended different competitions for organ and harpsichord (International BACH Competition), her biggest success was in 2015-first prize at the »TEMSIG« competition.
One of Veronikas passions has always been teaching music. She has many experiences as a piano teacher, and gained even more teaching experiences at the State University of Music in Stuttgart (2015-2017) as a student tutor for harpsichord.
In 2018 she has worked as a church musician at the “Evangeliumskirche” in Hasenbergl, Munich.
